It seems like yesterday when we were ushering in the New Year and now we’re already more than halfway into the month of January. Our time is a precious gift from God. We have opportunities to maximize every moment and make it count for eternity’s sake.
To experience new beginnings this year, requires bringing some areas of our life into focus and leaving some areas blurry or out of focus. It might also require adjusting some thinking knobs and revisiting some ideas. Whatever we do, we should never give up on those God inspired dreams and visions.
As I look at the lyrics of the song ‘Don’t You Ever Give Up’ in my album M.I.H [Made In Heaven], I am reminded of the many ‘good-time for me to quit opportunities’ that presented itself on my pathway to the production of this album. However, I’m also reminded of the many miraculous provisions, the many talented and wonderful people I have met and been privileged to work with, how precious those moments were. Now, as beautiful as those times were, there are greater times ahead. Refocusing, realigning, staying steady and consistent is necessary to enter into those higher pathways.
You can make every moment in your life count for eternity. You can resolve to make a change. Making a decision to get up and go after those life-long dreams you have hidden in your closet, or not even put down on paper because you think it’s beyond your ability might be the first adjustment you need to make.
Hebrews 12 verse 2 says; “Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” An author is the creator or writer of a book or script. Jesus has written a book, as actors, our lines and placements are within that book. As we take the time to read the Bible, it will be revealed to us and we can take our God ordained places. We can do what He created us to do and be who He created us to be.
Make your 2016 count for eternity!
