God has good plans for you.
God thinks good thoughts about you.
Yes, you!
It’s important that we remember God’s good plans for our lives.
One of God’s good plan for us is the plan of salvation.
The foundation of that plan is that God has blotted out our transgressions and does not remember our sins and shortcomings.
Is 43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake and will not remember thy sins.
The word blotteth means; to wipe out, obliterate, exterminate, blot out from memory, wipe away. It means to utterly destroy any record of wrong-doing. God said this good plan of extermination of our sin has already been done.
How was this done?
In a court of law, evidence must be presented to convict or acquit an accused person. The first Adam sinned by disobeying the instructions of God and taking instructions from the enemy of God; the Devil. The evidence of this change in allegiance was presented before the judgement throne of God leading to a guilty sentence being passed on the first Adam and all mankind from his loins or body.
For man to be acquitted, new evidence must be presented by man’s advocate before the court to get a new sentence to be passed regarding this matter.
This new evidence required a scapegoat; a person who is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others, especially for reasons of expediency, advantage or usefulness.
This scapegoat had to be a man, pure and without blemish in the heart. Now, the heart of all men had already been corrupted with the corruption that came into the first Adam.
How can man ever find such a pure in heart scapegoat?
God provided a legal scapegoat for the sin of man. Glory to God!
Isaiah 63: 4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. 5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.
The plan also required the cooperation of other people on the earth.
God found Joseph and Mary, a couple who would listen to and obey the instructions of God. Through the visitation of the angel Gabriel and dreams, they were both told about their part in God’s big plan and they both submitted to God’s plan for their lives. Holy Spirit came upon Mary and by the power of God, Jesus – God himself, was supernaturally embedded in her womb.
Joseph who was from the lineage of Abraham remained engaged too and married Mary and provided a safe home for the physical development of Jesus until adulthood.
Jesus was born without any input from corrupted man. Jesus was the only man – a spirit housed in a body – legally on the earth without the corruption in the heart of the first Adam. The devil came to attempt to corrupt the heart of Jesus, by tempting him for forty days while he fasted but Jesus overcame the temptations and kept his allegiance to The Father.
Jesus the lamb of God became the scapegoat and sacrificial offering at the cross when the sins and wrongdoings that came on all men was laid upon him.
Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
This qualified Jesus to go to hell, but the power of God raised him up out of hell on the third day.
Psalm 16:10 For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the place of the dead), neither will You suffer Your holy one [Holy One] to see corruption. (AMPC)
The triumphant resurrection of Jesus from the dead destroyed the hold of the devil over man.
Jesus met all the legal requirements of a scapegoat for the sin of man.
After He rose from the grave He proceeded to heaven.
He stood before The Father’s Judgement throne;
First as an advocate or lawyer for all men from the start of creation and
Secondly to present the blood of the scapegoat; He Himself, that took away the sins of man, satisfied the wrath of God against man and was raised up triumphant from the dead.
A new judgment was pronounced by The Father;
ALL MEN ARE NOW ACQUITED! FREE!!
You are free, from the root of sin, so the fruit of sin does not have any legal right to manifest in your life anymore.
Have you received God’s gift for you?
To enjoy this freedom you have to believe it in your heart and then confess it with your mouth.
Are you born again?
Say this prayer with me:
Lord Jesus I believe you died on the cross and rose up from the grave to take away my sins. I receive your free gift of salvation today. Come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me, use me for your glory. Amen.
