Genesis 1 YLT
1 In the beginning of God’s preparing the heavens and the earth —
2 the earth hath existed waste and void, and darkness [is] on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God fluttering on the face of the waters,
3 and God saith, `Let light be;’ and light is.
4 And God seeth the light that [it is] good, and God separateth between the light and the darkness,
26 And God saith, `Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over fish of the sea, and over fowl of the heavens, and over cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth.’
27 And God prepareth the man in His image; in the image of God He prepared him, a male and a female He prepared them.
28 And God blesseth them, and God saith to them, `Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over fish of the sea, and over fowl of the heavens, and over every living thing that is creeping upon the earth.’
Genesis 1 KJV
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Of all the creatures created by God, man is unique, exceptional. Man was created or prepared by God in His image and in His likeness. Man was also given dominion, power or authorization to rule over the earth by God.
The word dominion is specifically used in regard to a King having rulership over his kingdom or domain. Man’s kingdom was the earth and all the animals that lived on or in it or resources that existed within it.
After man committed high treason and submitted his authority and dominion to the Devil, the enemy of God, the Devil became the God of this world.
But, Jesus Came on the earth, died at the cross went to hell for three nights and appeased the wrath of God for the high treason offence of Adam that passed unto all mankind.
After Jesus resurrected, He declared, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matt 28:18. That dominion and power and rulership the first Adam lost has been restored back to man in Christ Jesus. Haleluyah.
In 2020 determine to live like the ruler you are in Christ. Commit to permitting only the blessing to show up in your life. Take a stand for a manifestation of the goodness and grace of God in your life throughout the year.
Jesus declared in John 10: 34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
The scriptures cannot be broken, declared unlawful or annulled. God has made man in his image. This identity cannot be destroyed, even if man does not understand who he is, he is still a ruler. In Christ we can live with the revelation of our original identities and pronounce the blessing at all times.
Release the blessing with your words. Permit the blessing with corresponding actions. Think the blessing, meditate on the blessing and command the blessing. You have been authorized to rule – so rule!
