SPECTACULAR DELIVERANCE PART 1: THIRD BENEFIT OF TRUE WORSHIP

Have you ever come to a point where you do not see any way out of a situation unless God absolutely helps you?

Have you ever been in trouble such that with all your heart, you desperately called out to The Lord to save you?

Well, you’re in good company because in today’s blog post we’re taking a look at how God shows up on a scene and saves those that love Him with spectacular displays of His power and might.

Psalm 46: 1 says that “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

Oh, how comforting it is to know that we have a refuge. The dictionary defines refuge as ‘a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger or trouble.’

When we’re in trouble, God said; I am present right there with you.

When we have no more strength; God said I am your strength.

When we draw on His strength we are replenished and strengthened.

Singing praises to God and worshiping with all your hearts is one of the fastest way to get God on the scene to help you out.

In the New Testament Book of Acts chapter 16, Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ and Silas his ministry helper were arrested and thrown in prison in while in Macedonia.

Paul being grieved in his spirit had cast out a spirit of divination from a young girl that had pestered his team. For days she had followed them about and by inspiration of that spirit had cried out saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.”

Paul had cast out that interfering spirit out of the girl without the permission of the girl or her masters!

In your life and in your business, you can stop the interference and hindrance of any evil spirit(s) at any point in time. You have been authorized by Jesus and given authority over the enemy.

Immediately, the masters of the girl realized that they couldn’t make any more money off the girl, they brought Paul and Silas to the magistrates. They sued them to court, instead of rejoicing that the girl was set free from that evil spirit.

The magistrates commanded Paul and Silas to be beaten and thrown into the inner prison.

Wow, one minute they were going about their daily business next minute they were shackled, in pain, with open sores on their bodies and locked up in the inner dungeon. That was a sudden change!

Have you ever experienced an unexpected, unpleasant sudden change?

What was your immediate reaction and response?

Now this is the point where things usually fall apart for most people. Self-pity , self-condemnation, shock, fear, anger at God, at people and even groups of people usually kicks in and leads to a downward spiral.

But, Paul and Silas started to pray and to praise God. Ha ha ha, instead of tears, shock, bitterness and anger they responded with praise. And not just quiet muttering and singing of sad songs, Paul and Silas praised God loudly, they worshipped God unashamedly and the other prisoners heard them.

No matter how dark their situation had gotten, Paul and Silas laid aside their physical constraints, their emotional roller-coaster, what their eyes could see, what they felt, what they imagined would happen to them the next day and busted out in songs of high praise and worship. They might have been able to bridle their bodies, but their spirit and their praise was unbridled. Halelyuah!

When we express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to God we are worshipping Him.

When we put our thoughts and words of gratitude to beats and rhythms we express our worship with songs. It could be songs that rhyme or songs that don’t rhyme, as long as we’re engaging our heart – our spirit, we get Our Father’s attention.

In the middle of Paul and Silas’ praise and worship session, there was an earthquake.

Now this earthquake, flung open all the prison doors and unshackled all the prisoners and their chains fell off.

What a spectacular deliverance! God responded to their heartfelt unbridled praise.

When we express our heartfelt confidence in whom God is and what He has told us, we are demonstrating faith. Faith pleases God, because God is able to intervene in our lives and deliver us out of our troubles.

Are you in trouble? Do you need supernatural help to get out of that mess?

Call on The Lord, pray and sing songs and God will show up for you.
